Children [10-14 years old]:
Visiting artist as “role models”. Specific projects to be developed to interact with children.
There are several centers throughout Mauritius where children meet on a daily basis after school hours. Centers such as Tipan, Lakaz Zenfant, SOS Village, École de la Vie. Artists and curators would here engage with the children awakening their senses by not using traditional teaching methods but methods dealing with awareness. Their teachings would be different from the Western bias that is emphasized in the traditional art history curriculum.
Art Students Tertiary level: Students doing a B.A or Masters in Fine Arts
Studio visits, interaction with students at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute (MGI), Rabindranath Tagore Institute (RTI) and Mauritius Institute of Education (MIE).
